Horizon is one of the newest ships in the Galapagos and thanks to her modern design, her hull not only makes her stable with less vibration while guests remain aboard, but also more efficient. She can travel further and consume less fuel than other traditional vessels. Horizon is eco-friendly with increased sustainability, carbon emissions offset and less environmental impact.
Onboard Horizon amenities include a large sundeck, a jacuzzi to relax in after an active day of natural history excursions and a comfortable lounge for briefings. With only 8 staterooms that feature splendid panoramic windows and a private balcony, she accommodates a maximum of 16 passengers, making the experience of traveling with this trimaran exclusive and congenial. There are 4 staterooms on the Main Deck with a size between 312 and 344 square feet and 4 located on the Upper Deck (312 square feet each). On the staterooms travelers also appreciate individual A/C, private bathrooms with L´Occitane products, hair dryers and beds that can be configured as one matrimonial bed or two twin beds. For families Horizon is welcoming offering 2 staterooms that feature a sofa bed for triple accommodation with a child under 12 years of age.
In the elegant dining room experience fine Ecuadorian and international cuisine while taking in all the lavish views. Guests can cruise in comfort as they discover the Galapagos islands and observe unique wildlife species such as the waved albatross, blue-footed booby, marine iguana, giant tortoise, flightless cormorant and Galapagos penguin. Horizon’s staff consist of a Captain, a cruise manager along with a chef and 7 crew members plus a bilingual naturalist guide certified by the Galapagos National Park.
