Safari Camp

Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos

Galapagos Safari Camp was a dream come true, developed over time by its owners Michael and Stephanie Mesdag, with passion and careful attention to the camp blending into the nature and allowing a special intimacy with the raw beauty of the unspoiled land. With personal attention to details, the camp’s central main lodge features a cozy lounge, library, fireplace, bar and front deck. Dining occurs here with local and international farm-to-table dishes inspired by foods grown on the farm in which the camp is located.

The camp contains 9 double or twin luxury tents located below the main lodge. These tents are the epitome of the glamping experience as they are raised on wooden platforms and supported by three layers to protect against the elements, featuring en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers, private balconies with inspiring ocean views in the distance and safari furniture. In addition the camp has a family suite located next to the main lodge. Ideal for families, this comfortable suite houses up to 6 guests with a master bedroom and two twin rooms as well as a playroom. The Viewpoint Terrace and a natural infinity pool surrounded by breathtaking scenery complements the Camp facilities.

Galapagos Safari camp sets the standards for responsible practices in ecotourism, working closely with the Charles Darwin Research Station, the Galapagos National Park and Conservation International. It is the only hotel in the area that is self-sufficient in rainwater collection and which gives back to the local community through land and scholarship grants.
