Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa emerges from a prairie where the South American pampa reaches Lake Sarmiento. The building is immersed in the landscape and blends with the natural setting. The award-winning architecture complements the flow of the geology in this privileged location and showcases the magnificent views of the Torres del Paine National Park.Inside, wood clad walls emanate warmth, safety and protection – a cozy hideaway after a day spent discovering the amazing Patagonian outdoors. The essence of the interior decoration are furnishings and textiles handmade by Chilean craftspeople.
The ambience of Tierra Patagonia is casual and friendly, the different spaces created by the designers mean that guests can mingle and get to know one another or find a quiet corner to relax and get away from it all. Large central spaces with panoramic windows include a welcoming open fire, living room, bar, a library, TV room, and map area for discovering the activities and excursions available and the dining room. There is Wi-Fi in the public areas and iPads available for guest use.
From the 40 rooms, choose between the following categories:
– Superior rooms (387 sq feet), with king or two twin beds.
– Suites split over two levels (549 sq feet) feature a cozy living room on the top floor and a large double king room with ensuite downstairs.
– Family interconnected Superior rooms that can sleeps 4-6 guests. These rooms can be arranged with a variety of bed types, depending on your family’s requirements.
Rooms are equipped with safes, hair dryers and telephones and decorated with hand-crafted furniture, locally sourced textiles and uniquely Patagonian details. The bathroom has a separate bathtub, shower, WC and washbasins. All rooms offer expansive views of Lake Sarmiento and Paine massif.
Dining at Tierra Patagonia is an experience unto itself. Feast on the breakfast buffet of of fresh juices (cherimoya, frutilla or custard apple), fruits, cereals, granola, cheeses, pastries, freshly baked bread, homemade conserves, cold cuts, and eggs. Lunch is a 3-course affair with meat, chicken, fish, vegetarian options, and fresh salads. In the evenings, guests gather around the open bar for pre-dinner cocktails. At dinner, the emphasis is on locally sourced ingredients and regional specialities. Sample delicious king crab salad and succulent asado (grilled beef) from a neighboring ranch. Taste Chilean wine such as the emblematic Carmenere.
Tierra Hotels have an adventure spa philosophy. Guests can experience the outdoors actively and adventurously and then be welcomed back to the hotel with a variety of relaxing options, including professional spa services. Spend time in the Uma Spa with both outdoor and indoor swimming pools, or choose tranquility by stretching out on an outdoor bed or soaking in the Jacuzzi.
