Operations and Travel Logistics Associate

Job Description: Applicants must be personable, organized and experienced office, logistics and reservations professionals that live in Peru or Ecuador. Join our team of travel specialists who enjoy sharing the wonders of Latin America with our discerning and adventurous clientele.

The goal is to assist our Director of Operations on his daily duties. The position entails costing, reservations, coordination and successful execution of operational procedures, and partnership strategies with our Latin American operators. Responsibilities also include managing trip information files, general office duties, word processing, customer service support, coordinating private itineraries, hotel reservations, managing travelers’ itineraries with precision, professional and timely operational correspondence, troubleshooting unexpected issues and trip evaluation.

Requirements:

  • College degree in Business, Communications, Hospitality, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of recent and successful experience in similar positions working for US or Canadian companies in the adventure travel, ecotourism or luxury field.
  • Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Windows-based applications (Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Experience with database management, cloud-based content management & collaboration such as Box & inventory management software.
  • Experience working with upscale clientele, private clubs, groups or travel agencies a plus.
  • Well organized, accurate with numbers & strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize & meet multiple deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. English as a first language.
  • Motivated, self-starter, outgoing, goal & service oriented.
  • Enthusiastic & friendly personality with a high energy level.
  • Must live in Latin America (Peru or Ecuador). English language a plus!
  • Nature & outdoor oriented (hiking, camping, rafting, biking, horseback riding, photography, etc.).

  • Hours & Salary:  Part or full-time with flexible work schedule, minimum 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, mornings preferred.
