Where to Dine in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires is perhaps South America’s grandest and most cosmopolitan city, with a thriving foodie and restaurant scene that can be downright overwhelming. To narrow down the options, we’ve chosen places in or near Recoleta, where most first-class hotels are located. We favor areas that are safe and convenient to reach by taxi. Most of all, we look for high quality authentic dining experiences that reflect Argentina’s world-renowned grilled beef ‘asado’ tradition, its Southern European influences, and the city’s hottest trends like the exclusive ‘closed door’ restaurants.

To make reservations at one of these restaurants for a meal on your own (not included on a Southwind itinerary), your hotel concierge desk can assist with reservations upon arrival to Buenos Aires. Your concierge can also arrange an official taxi from the hotel to the restaurant and back, and give you an idea of the driving distance to each restaurant, based on the day of the week and traffic patterns.

If you have a specific restaurant from this list or from the media that you want to try, you are welcome to contact the restaurant in advance directly. Restaurant hours, menus and prices are constantly changing, so we advise that you check the websites or contact the restaurants directly for specific information.
