Brief Itinerary
DAY 1: USA / LIMA
Arrive in Lima this evening and spend the night. Arrive early to enjoy your first gastronomical experience in the culinary capital of South America.DAY 2: CULINARY TOUR OF LIMA
Explore culinary scene of Lima with Erica La Madrid. Visit a local market, try some signature dishes of Peru and participate in a cooking demonstration. Enjoy a welcome dinner at one of the top restaurants in the city.DAY 3: LIMA / CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY
Fly to Cusco, and descend into the Sacred Valley with a stop at a textile center. Continue to the town of Pisac to learn about the culture of the Andean people before transferring to Urubamba for a cooking demonstration with Chef Nacho Selis.DAY 4: CHINCHERO / MARAS SALT MINES / OLLANTAYTAMBO
Deepen exploration of the Sacred Valley in Urubamba and Chinchero. Visit a family farm and the Inca Salt Mines. Sample variety of native delicacies during lunch. Afternoon explorations at Ollantaytambo.DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY / MACHU PICCHU
Arrive by train and shuttle bus to the spectacular citadel of Machu Picchu. Learn about ancestral agricultural techniques, irrigation systems and rotation of crops while exploring Machu Picchu and the impressive Inca Drawbridge.DAY 6: MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
Spend a second day at Machu Picchu for early morning light participating in optional guided hikes in and around the site. Return to Cusco in time for the refined culinary experience of dinner.DAY 7: CULINARY AND HISTORICAL CUSCO
Private tour of Cusco’s San Pedro market, squares, and nearby pre-Columbian sites. Visit the ancient ceremonial pools at Tambo Machay and enjoy a sundowner at the fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Farewell dinner at MAP Café.DAY 8: CUSCO / LIMA OR USA

Machu Picchu: Inkaterra Pueblo
